The annual Father's Day is coming soon, are you ready to give your father a gift?
Father's Day is the third Sunday of June every year. On this day, the children will make breakfast for the father and buy gifts such as socks or ties to express respect for the father.
The origin of Father's Day
The world’s first Father’s Day was born in 1910 and was initiated by Mrs. Bruce Dodd, an American. Mrs. Bruce Dodd’s mother died of childbirth when she gave birth to her sixth child. Her father, Mr. William Smart, assumed everything in the family after her mother died.
During the day, Mr. Smart worked hard and returned home at night to take care of the housework and every child, playing both the role of father and mother.
After decades of hard work, the children finally grew up, but Mr. Smart died in 1909 due to too much work.
Mrs. Bruce Dodd is the second child in the family. She has witnessed the efforts and hardships of her father since childhood, and it is no less than any mother. After her father died, she often missed him.
She hopes to have a special day to commemorate her father. After receiving the approval and consent of the priest Rima of the Church, she wrote a letter to the Mayor of Spokane, Washington, suggesting that her father's birthday, June 5 every year, be Father's Day.
The mayor of Spokane and the governor of Washington publicly agreed to change the date to the third Sunday in June. Subsequently, other towns in the United States also began to celebrate "Father's Day."
In 1972, U.S. President Nixon officially signed the document, setting the third Sunday of June every year as a national holiday in the United States and a permanent holiday.
Father's Day has become an indispensable holiday in life. On this day, children can express their love for their father at will.
This day also reminds us that although love can be expressed at any time, life still needs a sense of ritual.
I love you, Father!
Many people say that the mother's love for her children is warm and full and never hides. Unlike the mother, the father's love for his children is implicit, restrained, and deep.
So whenever it comes to father, people always think of a word father's love is like a mountain. He is like a mountain, silently guarding you against a distance, carrying the wind and rain of life for you. You think he doesn't love you he loves no less than his mother.
However, my father's mountain may be tired. His back, because he has been sitting in the office for decades, has already had a backache. There is no comfortable office chair, and he bends down to work all year-round, and his father's waist sometimes can't hold it.
With age, the waist becomes more and more uncomfortable and even suffers from problems such as lumbar disc herniation. Having a good office chair can not only save your lumbar spine but also improve your work efficiency.
Father's Day is coming soon. You can take this opportunity to buy a comfortable and reliable Smugdesk office chair for your father. It is ergonomically designed to protect the waist of dads in all directions. Dads are sitting in such chairs to work, they are no longer so tired.
Father's Day is only one day, but our love for Dad has never stopped.
